Angel View provides a full range of services for children and adults with disabilities. We provide 24-hour Residential Care, a therapeutic Day Program for adults with developmental disabilities and Angel View Outreach
for local children with disabilities. Each spring, clients of our homes
and Day Program also enjoy a day camp program at Camp Forrest, our
wheelchair accessible campground.
The State of California requires organizations like Angel View to provide Active Treatment. Active treatment is defined as "an aggressive effort to fulfill each client's fullest developmental capacity, optimal physical, intellectual, social and vocational functioning." In our case, helping children and adults with developmental disabilities is not just our business, it's our passion! All of our efforts are directed toward helping them acquire the skills they need to function as independently as possible.
Among the services we routinely provide clients of our Residential and Day Program are:
Maria has multiple disabilities and requires 24-hour care. But since she’s been at Angel View, she’s continued to grow in her abilities and interpersonal skills. A whole team of professionals helps her advance toward personal goals written just for her. Everything she learns helps her reach her maximum level of independence.
Besides learning life skills, she gets to go on dozens of outings. Thanks to our caring staff and specially equipped buses, she’s an active participant in our community.
We focus on what she has accomplished – not her limitations. She has such a happy smile and a vibrant personality. All who know her are touched by her radiance and her energy.
