Angel View provides a full range of services for children and adults with disabilities. We provide 24-hour Residential Care, a therapeutic Day Program for adults with developmental disabilities and Angel View Outreach
for local children with disabilities. Each spring, clients of our homes
and Day Program also enjoy a day camp program at Camp Forrest, our
wheelchair accessible campground.
The State of California requires organizations like Angel View to provide Active Treatment. Active treatment is defined as "an aggressive effort to fulfill each client's fullest developmental capacity, optimal physical, intellectual, social and vocational functioning." In our case, helping children and adults with developmental disabilities is not just our business, it's our passion! All of our efforts are directed toward helping them acquire the skills they need to function as independently as possible.
Among the services we routinely provide clients of our Residential and Day Program are:
A frantic mother of two lost her vital records in a fire. Her son Jaime, 6, has a severe form of spina bifida, a type of birth defect. He needed prescriptions refilled, but without her Medi-Cal card and information, the pharmacy couldn’t fill them.
Angel View Outreach helped her navigate the system to reinstate her benefits. We also helped her access resources, enrolled Jaime in our mileage reimbursement program so he wouldn’t miss important appointments with his specialists, and used a mini-grant to cover the gap cost of medication he needed right away. Helping kids avoid medical emergencies is a key program goal.
