How We're Funded
The old saying, "It takes a village," is particularly true in Angel View's case.
Through Medi-Cal, the State of California reimburses agencies like Angel View for medical and transportation services. We raise extra funds to provide enhanced services like quality of life outings, the purchase of specialized medical and communications devices, and advanced therapies that allow our residents to achieve a high degree of independence.
As a result, we rely heavily on the generosity of our benefactors: donors, and donors to and patrons of our resale stores. And we greatly appreciate the support of our granters, shown here. Through your contributions, we are able to provide enhanced services that separate Angel View from more basic care facilities. Increased nursing care for the medically fragile, transportation and supervision for special outings, our annual prom and Spring Fun Days at Camp Forrest, are just a few examples.
Angel View is proud to report that we keep our administrative costs low. Approximately 92 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to support our clients with special needs. For more information on our organization, click our Guidestar.org listing. To donate, click here.
Jesus, 23, has cerebral palsy and a seizure disorder. Once he completed his special education classes, his parents, who both work full-time, needed a place where he could continue to grow. He started our Day Program 10 months ago.
He was shy when he first arrived and prone to speaking one word answers. So we were thrilled to see him open up and use full sentences when he responds to staffers like Hope, whom he clearly adores. Jesus participates in all activities. He knows the routine and where he’s supposed to be. When it’s time to leave, he grabs his bag, waits for him mom, and looks forward to coming back.
